Description
Tutor, Cecil Tait of Paparwark shows you the tools techniques used to create these amazing chip carving designs. We will use basswood, limewood and tulipwood as they are the best for carving and with some practice and lots of patience you to will be able to achieve amazing results. Unlock your inner chip carver!
Participants will have time to practice all the techniques involved. You can then choose from several designs and then be able to carve a simple chip carving design into a coaster size wood sample.
Materials: cost includes use of tools and materials.
Duration: 3hrs; 2pm to 5pm
Max 7 people per course.
Chip carving knifes and additional blank are available to purchase after the class if you wish to continue with this addictive hobby.
